Join us for a soothing evening designed to help you wind down, release tension, and connect deeply with your body and breath.
Self-myofascial release is the practice of using various tools, varying amounts of pressure, and self-guided manual therapy techniques to target the layers of fascia in our bodies. Fascia is an interconnected web of connective tissue surrounding our muscles, organs, and bones, extending from head to toe. This practice offers numerous benefits, including hydrating the layers of tissue beneath the skin, improving blood flow and circulation, increasing proprioceptive awareness, and calming the nervous system.
In this class, we’ll use various tools to explore how our bodies respond to applied pressure as we work through the feet, legs, hips, mid-back, shoulders, chest, jaw, and skull. As we slow down and deepen our breath, we’ll cultivate awareness of how the body communicates, releasing stored tension layer by layer.
After this interactive, head-to-toe exploration, we’ll transition into a series of gentle Restorative Yoga postures to invite deeper relaxation and integration. Supported by props and stillness, these poses encourage the body to settle and the mind to unwind.
To close, you’ll be guided through a Yoga Nidra practice—known as “yogic sleep”—to invite profound rest and renewal. This meditative experience will allow you to settle into a state of deep relaxation and connect with a sense of ease and clarity.
This evening promises to leave you feeling grounded, refreshed, and reconnected with your inner calm.
